Goldbaby has released Wurlitzer Side Man – Drum Samples and Rex Loops, a set of free drum samples and loops recorded from the Wurlitzer Side Man drum machine.
This is possibly the first ever commercially-produced drum machine! Manufactured in 1959.  Has valve drum sounds with a spinning disk controlling the preset rhythms.  A nice valve amp and speaker make this a stand alone drum machine

Some would say dirty and warm, some also say it sounds like old vinyl… The SP-1200 is a legendary drum sampler. Used by many artists from Roni Size to Daft Punk. The Tape machines used: Otari MX5050 1/4″, Rolla 77 valve mono 1/4 inch, and the Hitachi Cassette deck. Plus the UBK Fatso was also used!

With Tape-101, Goldbaby brings yet another collection of sounds treated with some analog tape love. But it’s not a drum machine this time around. The SH101 is a legendary 80’s analog synth. A small synth with a large sound. It can be warm and phat or nasty and raw. Some say the sound is a cross between a Juno and 303. So… I have taken this little synth and created a sampled instrument library. Of course I haven’t just sampled the synth naked. Oh no… I had to let the sounds get caressed by tape first!. The CustomDMX was made using the DMX and Prommer. Many will know the legendary DMX drum machine. However the Prommer is a little less known. It is a sampler that can burn EPROMs for use in certain drum machines including the DMX.
