Growing up in different areas of England, on a steady diet of Motown, Techno & the blossoming UK Hardcore scene, ASC’s productions manage to encompass a wide range of these influences. With his first batch of tracks signed to Nu Directions and LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records, ASC moved to start his own label Covert Operations which released more than 30 releases on Vinyl and CD.
While they can’t claim credit for inventing ‘Booty Breaks’, the production team of Keith MacKenzie and Fixx (aka KMFX) can definitely boast of having spread its influence far and wide. With a combined 20+ years in the game, both cut their teeth as DJs in and around a vibrant 90′s Florida breaks scene. While Keith was racking up credits on labels like DJ Icey’s pioneering Zone Records, Fixx became known as the production powerhouse behind numerous Florida-based upstarts, as well as his own influential Bottom-End Records.

The sound of Fidget House is defined by snatched vocal snippets, pitch-bent bass lines and rave-style synth stabs over glitchy 4/4 beats. Artists such as Trevor Loveys, Herve, Fake Blood, Digital Filth, Switch and Jack Beats have exaggerated the initial elements of fidget and progressed things on to new levels which make this genre more challenging from a production perspective, and perfect for the dance floor as the mash up medium of choice for many producers and clubbers worldwide in 2009.
Fidget House 2 is the sequel to the much praised debut release from Darren Payton, whose production skills impressed us so much we had to sign him for a second volume.
