REQUIEM Light is a Kontakt Player based next-generation virtual choir developed for professional composers. The library is based on a variety of new recording- and sampling techniques some which have never before been deployed in choral sample libraries. The library can literally sound like a real choir and includes both full choir (SATB), divisi groups (males/females) and solo singers – all recorded in 24 bit / 44.1khz with 1 (premixed) microphone positions. The library contains true (polyphonic) legato intervals from piano to forte, sustains from piano to forte, staccato with repetitions, ultra forte marcato, BPM-based latin chants recorded at different speeds across entire interval of choir, and hundreds of FX.

Welcome to Plucked Grand Piano – a library dedicated to deep sampling of plucked and hammer struck grand piano strings. The Plucked Grand Piano was created by public demand from our users, since its never been properly deep sampled before. We took a world class piano (same as Emotional Piano) through a humiliating process by recording every string with a custom pick, but with more emphasis on round robin (4 pr. string), since the playing style has a percussive quality to it. The instrument is best described as a hybrid crossbreed between a harp, clavinet, guitar/lute and the unforgettable sound of the harpsichord. In addition we added a bonus hammer-struck articulation, using a custom miniature hammer. The sound has some resemblance to a hammered dulcimer. The fancy naming and branding of the piano is irrelevant to us. We want the samples and music to speak for itself and we hope it speaks to you too.

Welcome to the Soundiron Waterharp! We decided to sample this instrument deeply and creatively. This huge library contains 2,903 samples, with 59 different articulations and is divided into two main categories: Bowed & Mallets.
The articulations include a variety of bows, a huge set of different mallets, metal devices, hands and other contraptions. The library also contains a variety of more experimental patches, including boiled water at four different temperature levels, hydrophone recordings (underwater microphones in the waterharp), magnets on waterharp and filling waterharp with metal screws and other goodies. This sample library pretty much covers just about every thinkable and unthinkable way you’d want to use/abuse a waterharp. We can proudly state we sampled the living soul out of the waterharp. All playable mallet programs contain between 5-10 velocity layers – and 6-10 round robin variations for maximum playability. In addition waterharp contains a bonus set of waterharp ambiences, including a large collection of unique patches (Kontakt 3 only) made by Steven Tavaglione (Instrumentalist and Sound Designer; Wall-E, American Beauty, CSI, Supernatural and 100s other movies/shows/games).

Epic Tom Ensemble is a large multi-sample library dedicated to massive ensemble percussion. We captured a variety of power articulations, using a combination of high-tuned 10″ – 14″ toms, roto-toms and octabans, various floor toms, bass drums and custom designed mega-toms. Perfect for raging battle scenes or when you just need a really loud boom. We highly recommend trying it with our Epic Dohl, Small Epic Percussion and Bamboo Stick Ensembles. All extensively recorded by some of the very best percussionists* in the world, in a high-ceiling glass, stone and tile hall specifically designed for sample recording.

We realized that there is already a million other amazing piano libraries around, but none of them ever captured the authentic beauty of a dusty-old-haven’t-been-played-since-granny-lost-her-hearing upright piano. There are a number of broken and badly detuned strings, especially in the upper ranges. We couldn’t afford a repairman, so you’ll just have to live with them.

A deep-sampled library dedicated to soundtrack piano and focused on capturing the warmth, the wideness, the deep resonance and softness of a world class grand. We’ve spent years searching for just the right one to capture. With ears pressed to wood and eyes hovering scant inches above strings, we tested literally hundreds of them before finding this one special piano. The sound of a piano is defined by a thousand things, from the lacquer on the wood to the hardness of the felt in the hammers. Our goal was purely sound: a soft, deeply resonant, rich, warm and soulful sound. We had no concern for brand, model, design or pedigree. We’re not even going to mention the model and brand of the piano we chose for this library.

The tabla is a popular Indian percussion instrument used in the classical, popular and devotional music of the Indian subcontinent and in Hindustani classical music. The instrument consists of a pair of hand drums of contrasting sizes and timbres. To call tabla a mere percussion instrument would be a vast understatement of its musical depth, as one of the most revered of all classical Indian musical instruments. We worked with tabla master and jazz percussionist Sameer Gupta to capture a range of tabla rhythm, melody and soul. Sameer has been a student and practitioner in the art of percussion for nearly 25 years, traveling the world to study and perform in some of the world’s most prestigious institutions and venues.

Tonehammer spend over six months developing this library with one of the best heavy session guitar players in the Scandinavia, Danne Forsblom. Danne used his custom 6, 7 and 8 string guitars in the sessions and played them through a variety of different amps and custom FX pedals. All riffs were recorded between X4 to X16 times (Yes, friggin 16 times!) with ultra-precision resulting in an unprecedently big sound.
