If you’re looking for a little raw power and intricate texture to add to your tracks then look no further than Methane: Industrial Rock Library. This library contains 3.53 GB of total content (942 MB of 24-bit WAV files). Created by the famed drummer of Queensryche, Scott Rockenfield is now letting his creative juices flow with this awesome collection of cutting edge high end music and sound FX loops for use in film, television, game composing, and many other music productions. The loops in this collection include arp loops, clean and mutated guitar loops, bass loops, drum and drum fx loops, percussion loops, textures, slams, and sweeps. The library has been formatted in REX2, acidized WAV, apple loops, as well as Kontakt patches to create quick, arrangements of the loops (requires Kontakt 3.5 or higher).

The Rock Foundry SDX was recorded at Bob Rock’s choice studio The Warehouse in Vancouver, BC, and designed to give you the most flexible selection of drums, ambiences and options possible. It’s configured as two individual SDXs, one ‘Main’ and one ‘Mono.’ The ‘Main’ features six kits captured with a traditional multiple microphone technology whereas the ‘Mono’ configuration was recorded using a minimal setup. In addition to the seven individual kits, a large selection of extra snares, kicks and cymbals are provided, making The Rock Foundry SDX an incredibly broad palette of raw material to use to craft drum mixes within the powerful framework of Superior Drummer 3.

Vintage Rhythm Section is a virtual instrument for Kontakt 5 designed to emulate the classic rhythm section sounds of R&B, Soul, Funk, Jazz, and Rock records from the 1960’s and 1970’s. Vintage Rhythm Section (VRS) is easy to use, with a simple interface that lets you work quickly and intuitively. If you’re producing retro or indie-style music on a budget, or if you’re a TV or film composer working on a tight deadline, VRS can be used to create live-sounding drums, bass, guitar, keyboard, and percussion tracks. CAPTURING THAT VINTAGE RHYTHM SECTION SOUND: Like its sister-products, Vintage Horns and Vintage Strings, Vintage Rhythm Section was not designed to be a shiny, perfect-sounding virtual instrument. Instead, we tried to capture the way rhythm sections sounded back in the 60’s and 70’s, including some of the minor imperfections that added character to those instruments and made them sound so good. For VRS, we sampled a large collection of vintage instruments – some amazingly still in mint condition, and others looking every bit as “vintage” as you’d expect a piece of 40-50 year-old gear to look.

Most of us songwriters would likely agree: When we’re scrambling for ideas, we tend to overcomplicate, procrastinate and overthink.
