Developed with the revolutionary bi-amped design, the GK 800RB quickly became the go-to amp for bassists all around the world after its release in 1982. Known for its clean, transparent body and highly regarded for its versatility, the original hardware was used on countless hit records from bands of different genres – ranging from Red Hot Chili Peppers, to Guns ‘n’ Roses, Green Day, No Doubt, and many more. Officially licensed by GK and developed by BX the 800RB bass amp plugin provides more than just an exacting emulation of the original amp.
Pillar is a power amplifier simulator that utilizes vacuum tube emulation engine to enhance and complement the Efektor Gainia series preamps. Its primary function is to amplify the volume of the guitar sound and add a desirable level of saturation before it is projected through the speaker cabinet. You can turn off the cabinet simulator and use any impulse response file of your choice. With an addition of the FREE Pillar Power Amp – The Ultimate Power Amp Simulator, guitarists can finally experience the rich, dynamic response that only a true tube power amp can provide. This software-based solution enhances and complements the tones of the Efektor Gainia TD, HB, and XT pedal preamps, offering an all-encompassing solution for creating studio-quality guitar sounds. Tubular is a step forward in guitar amp simulation technology. Wave digital filters enable us to simulate complete amplifier schematics explicitly. Physics-based tube equations are solved every sample. Tubular includes 20 amps, 10 cabinets, 10 speakers, 11 pedals, a noise gate, and stereo modulation, delay, and reverb rack effects.
