The moving inner sounds of an industrial cooling system at the back of a small factory in Iceland was recorded with a LOM Geofón into a Sound Devices Mix Pre 3II Canadian sound designer Alex Lane has crafted these recordings into dark, ambient drone loops – perfect for adding dissonant, tense and disturbing vibes to your film, game or song. Included in this pack are 30 designed files, and 18 source files for you to bend and manipulate into your own drone dark ambiences. All sounds are normalised, tagged with UCS compliant meta-data in Soundminer.

Welcome the Drone Emporium. In this sound pack you will find a collection of Dark ambient constantly evolving drone notes. Each sample at each pitch is a unique performance & recording . They are presented as chromatic recordings from C1 (midi note 36) to C2 (midi note 48 ). None have been digitally transposed, stretched or looped, they all decay naturally . This method results in each file having its own discrete tone and timbre. In each note there will be some subtle sonic differences from the preceding note and in others a more noticeable difference . This is a natural effect of the various analog and modular hardware synthesisers used, as well as the various filters and delays and reverbs that were incorporated into the sounds as part of the whole recording process .

Traditionally, the Didjeridu was played primarily as an accompaniment to ceremonial dancing and singing; today the Didjeridu is widely used in EDM and the electronica scene, not to mention healing. It is believed the Didgeridu was born in the Northern Territory of Australia, In particular, Aboriginals of the Northeast Arnhem land maintained a long unbroken traditional art of making Didgeridoos – an instrument that the Yolngu musicians of Northeast Arnhem Land call Yidaki.
