Join veteran Groove3 instructor Larry Holcombe for a detailed look at KICK 3 from Sonic Academy, the new kick sound VI that gives you unparalleled control over creating your perfect kick sound for any occasion. If you’re having trouble getting your kick to sound right, you’ve come to the right place! In this KICK 3 video course, you’ll learn how to shape every aspect of your kick quickly and with confidence. By the end of the course, you’ll start to wonder how you ever designed kick sounds without KICK 3! These KICK 3 videos are designed for new users. Larry starts off with a brief tour of the interface to make sure everyone is up to speed and knows what’s what before we dive in. Then he covers the toolbar options, including the managing of presets, so you’ll know how to save and recall your work. Explore the Edit area afterward and learn how to choose from various display options and select various presets for Sub and Click samples. Next, Larry covers the Envelope panel, with which you can create and edit nodes for both the Sub and Click pitch and amplitude, followed by the specific Sub and Click controls like global pitch, pan, length, and more. Then you’ll see how to apply onboard effects in various routing configurations.
