Kit 5 is probably the most comprehensive kit in the BFD3 Factory Content. It has 6 Toms which all have articulations with both Snare On and Snare Off. It has 3 different Snares of which one has all articulations with both Snare On and Snare Off samples. The Bass Drum was recorded with 2 different beaters and for Cymbals, you have 2 different Crash Cymbals, one Splash, one Ride, one China and an IceBell Cymbal that they classified as Accent. And of course, a Hihat with the usual 13 different hits. They even threw in a Mambo Cowbell for good measure.

Big Cat Instruments has released the final version of City Piano, a free Baldwin Baby Grand piano sample library which is available in various formats including NKI, SFZ, and even VSTi plugin format.

I just finished my City Piano for Kontakt 5. It is a Baldwin Baby Grand with four fully sampled velocity layers. It is free and public domain. do anything you like with it.

City Piano is available for free download via Big Cat Instruments (304 MB download size, ZIP archive, contains 262 audio samples in WAV format, mappings in Kontakt 3, Kontakt 5, SampleTank 2.5, and SFZ formats, 32-bit VSTi plugin format for Windows).

A Kontakt library using the BFD3 Factory content.I have read about a lot of complaints from posters about BFD3 use of too much RAM. That they have to resort to recording each instrument separately because it was killing the DAW. Personally, I like to use Kontakt, but I could never find an excellent library for drums. The Native instruments libraries sound constipated, the Vir2 one is buggy and others are not flexible enough. So I thought, maybe I can convert the BFD3 kits to be used in Kontakt. I am a developer in real life, so I created my own program to convert the WAV files used by BFD3 to be used in Kontakt. BFD3 uses multi channel wav files (Kit2 for example use 16 channels) in order to send sounds to different Mics. Kontakt on the other hand can only accept up to 2 channels (i.e. stereo files).
