The APU Loudness Limiter is a real-time limiter designed to support multiple loudness types simultaneously. The limiter can be configured to use LUFS, True Peak, RMS, and/or Peak loudness types. This allows you to target multiple requirements simultaneously, such as a specific LUFS target and a specific True Peak target. Internally, the ballistics of the limiter are adjusted to accommodate the different loudness type limiter settings.

The APU Loudness Compressor plug-in is a compressor/expander designed to support modern loudness types (LUFS, True Peak). Typical compressors operate using only RMS and/or Peak units of measurement. But technology has come a long way since then and we’re overdue for an upgrade.. This compressor uses modern industry standard LUFS units of measurement to provide a far more transparent response which is connected to the way humans actually experience loudness. The entire signal flow of the compressor operates within this more precise understanding of loudness. The plug-in user interface provides a more flexible alternative to traditional threshold-and-ratio style of compressor controls. Instead, source and target ranges of loudness can be configured and the compressor will either compress or expand as needed.

The most fundamental question in audio production, how loud is it? Simple and yet elusive, with loudness inconsistency and incompatibilities present every day in broadcasts across the world. With detailed, objective loudness measurement, history and logging facilities, VisLM provides a simple, ITU, ATSC and EBU standard compliant* way to measure, compare and contrast loudness during production, broadcast and post production, on the fly or for entire sections of audio.

FinalPlug combines a lookahead peak limiter with ITU BS.1770 loudness metering. FinalPlug can be used as an insert effect, providing limiting for gain staging or volume maximization, or can be placed at the end of your mastering chain to guarantee your audio meets loudness and true peak delivery requirements. The FinalPlug interface could hardly be simpler. When used as a loudness maximizer, select a desired output ceiling level, say -0.1 dB, and then adjust the threshold level. As you decrease the threshold you increase the volume.
